On 10-11 July 2018, Vienna held the 33rd Meeting of the Bureau for the implementation of THE PEP organized in the frame of preparations of the upcoming 5th High-level Meeting on Transport Health and Environment scheduled for 22-24 October 2019.

This event provided an opportunity for the experts of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health and Consumer Protection and THE PEP Secretariat of UNECE WHO to share perspectives and to discuss the preparatory aspects of the upcoming 5th High-level Meeting in Vienna, Austria which will have a broad political profile.

Executive Board members of EEHYC, that has become a partner in THE PEP implementation after the Fourth High-level Meeting in April in Paris, France were honored to be invited and to listen to the thoughts and comments of all the participants and to raise youth voice what might be done to achieve improvements in preparation process of the upcoming 5th High-level Meeting.

The two-day event was closed with official THE PEP Secretariat statement, that final list of activities, as well as EEHYC proposals for adoption to the 2018 PEP Ministerial Declaration, will be negotiated during the next meeting, planned in Geneva on 12-14 December 2018.

THE PEP Secretariat emphasized as well the importance of continuing the active participation of EEHYC in THE PEP implementation, by mobilizing young people and youth organizations in national and international activities supporting THE PEP.
